Yeah no worries. Keep me posted with what you want to do. Unfortunately the car is getting on and things do wear out. I had the steering rack replaced not long after I bought the car with the one out of my old blue piazza which had alot lower km's because the original one had worn out steering arms....

Just some history for you. I was actually dilligent with that box and had the oil replaced with the addition of lucas oil stabiliser about a year before I stopped driving it. Don't forget that box has quite a few km's on it (its the original box), it did have a slight leak, but I did keep a check on...

I searched far and wide to find the right wheel. These were the only ones I found that suited. The are Lenso Eagle 16" with +20mm offset. I don't believe you can get them anymore in Australia. Not sure if they have stopped worldwide manufacture of them completely or not, but they are quite hard...

Inlet and outlet were the biggest that the fabricator who made the end tanks could fit (supposedly). I still think it will flow quite well. The reason for one black and one not......the black one is a standard XR6 factory intercooler as they came on the car (ie. painted black). The non painted one w...

Not too latefor me. My beast is now off the road and I have started to do some work on the front mount intercooler and my spare engine. Will be a long term project the way things are going.

The standard disco potato wont bolt straight on. GCG turbos did alot of work to adapt the IHI housings to the Garrett centre. If you gave them the disco potato and the IHI Piazza turbo they will be able to do the job but I am not sure what they would charge. Would be worth talking to them. If you wa...

I know about the diagram in the manual. What I am questioning is how the fuel actually flows in the system. I had a look at the sub pump in my car and its got a directional arrow stamped on it, but the arrow is pointing in the opposite direction to the way the fuel should flow if the sub pump was fe...

Piazza Fuel System

I am in the process of upgrading my fuel pump and I am looking at adding in a surge tank and lift pump as well. The problem is I am trying to work out exactly how the standard Piazza system works. Is there an intank fuel pump? The Piazza manual doesnt seem to mention one but the way I see it it has ...

That looks like a good turbo for the price. I wonder what that compressor housing and wheel is from? Other thing to watch out for on that turbo is if the wastegate port has been increased in size. If it the standard Piazza size then it might have issues with over boosting with the larger wheel and h...

Also forgot to mention the other upgrade that I have done. I am now running a Procomp CDI ignition unit which gives huge spark. Worthwhile upgrade for under $300 and makes then engine run heaps smoother and start better. Should also be able to see a power improvement in the higher revs when I test i...

Yeah, you can actually get the turbos without the compressor and turbine housings because you get to choose which size housings you want when you buy a new turbo. The All Holden Day was really good, heaps of cars, over 700 they reckon. I didn't see another Piazza there and when I drove in I got a fa...

No, it probably wouldnt have been too hard to use the disco compressor housing, the only problem I can see is the clearance between the compressor housing and the exhaust manifold cause the VF8 goes very close to hitting it at the moment. Also would have to modify the mount for the wastegate actuato...

Its been a while since I last posted so heres the latest news.... Motec has been on for over 6 months now and is going great. So good to be able to tune absolutley everything about the engine. I am running a wideband air/fuel ratio meter and have done all the tuning myself. Needs to go on the dyno t...
