Temp sender unit.

Hi there Izu, Thanks for the indepth response to my enquiry and sorry for the delay in responding to you. I have purchased a replacement new sender unit which I hope will arrive and turn out to be correct. If that does not work then, as a temporary measure at least, I think I will install an after-m...

Holden Piazza temperature guage testing.

Hey their folks, I have been having problems with the read-out on the temp. guage on the digital dash of my Holden Piazza. The guage consistently goes up into the red zone even on the coolest days and even though the engine is only warm to the touch. I have put in a new thermostat - no difference, I...

Another car designed by Giurgiano.

Hi folks, Giurgiano was also responsible for the styling of the Lotus Esprit, for those who love their James Bond movies you will remember the car appearing in two or three of the 1970,s films. Personally I think he got it just right with the Lotus and the finish is smarter than the Piazza, however ...

A replacement unit was available off of the shelf at the local auto electrical store and things are back to normal. Thanks as always folks for the advice, By the way, the spare Piazza...

Temperature sensor unit for !986 Piazza.

Hi folks, Here is a nice little scenario for you. I am out driving to a neighbouring town the other day when I notice the temperature guage in the red warning zone. I pulled over to the side of the road, expecting to see steam and hear the sound of boiling water, and absolutely nothing. I could plac...

Water pump source.

Hi there Wedgie, I have located a water pump through a company named Mecanica on the East side of Australia ( I will put up the details later once the pump has arrived). They seem to have pumps for all the Isuzu engine types. Thanks for your offer to help mate, it is appreciated. Best wishes for now...

Water pump interchange, G200Z and 4ZC1 engines.

Hey there folks. I am having some real dramas with getting a new water pump for my 4ZC1 Holden Piazza engine. Dose anyone know if the Isuzu Piazza G200Z water pump is the same? If it is I am saved! I would appreciate any help on this please or the source of a new waterpump within Australia for my 4Z...

Isuzu Piazza Sunny.

Hi there Eyecon,           So this little coupe fails in your book - fair enough, it is a free world. I think you said in one of your letters on this site that you work for Holdens in some capacity, so what does it take for a car company to give the go ahead for a new car design?     Their was a Hol...

Sunny Impulse

Hi there Piazzish, What a little ripper of a coupe and yet another example of the Piazza style being so far ahead of the rest. Where did you come across this picture mate? I guess it is a magazine article, and I reckon it would really appeal to site member Eyecon who so obviously knows his design. S...

ecu info.

Thanks Wedgie and Izu, You are a mine of information as always! My mechanic is, luckily, of the old school and a Piazza fanatic. He admits to having a desire to meet Sale Of The Centurys Delvene Delaney and a nice Piazza at the same time,( his idea of a real threesome! ) and I can go along with that...

Location of ECU and diagnostic link.

Hi there folks, For those of us non-mechanically minded enthusiasts could some one let me know the location of the electronic control unit please. My mechanic, ( he is becoming a very rich man courtesy of my Piazza! ) hasasked if their is a diagnostic link and, if so, how to access it and interpret ...

Addition to topic

Hi again eyecon, Just a quick correction to something I wasn't sure about above. The Holden concept car that I tried to remember was called the Holden Torana GTR-X Concept car and was designed in 1970. It was so futuristic and radical for its day that the Holden people never believed it would sell, ...

Re-design of Piazza

Hi there Eyecon, Here's something new then, an owner of an Isuzu Impulse / Holden Piazza who really is smarter than the average bunny! I am only kidding around, I think that anyone recognising just how advanced the styling of our cars are proves that they were decades ahead of their time. I had youn...

Vacuum advance unit

Hey there Izu,

I am hopeful that I might be able to get a vacuum advance unit but, just in case the lead is a dud, would you have any idea of the Isuzu part number for the appropriate unit? Failing that I might have a look into the electronic ignition.
Thanks, sbs.
