New IPTOC website!

Hi all,

Thanks to the talents of Webmaster Will and Eloquent Eddie, the IPTOC website has had a complete overhaul.

Check it out at http://iptoc.com

The forum page links to this forum, so hopefully a bit of chat will be stimulated - it's been a bit quiet on here of late!

All the best,
Clive

Overdrive module under the dash switches the solenoid on the gearbox. If your auto box won't shift into overdrive, it could be a kickdown cable setting issue (common after cylinder head work) BUT check that the thermostat is ok and the engine is warming up properly - the overdrive module takes a tem...

No problem, anytime! (I am Giorgetto....!)
It may be of interest that Spax DO offer shorter versions of both G165 and G169 as catalogue options, specifically for lowered cars!

Hi mate, have a look at the Isuzu Piazza Turbo Facebook Fan Club page - there's a guy on there from Germany called Daniel who has a complete interior, and it'll be LHD too.

Gents, Opie Oils are a supplier of oils, greases, consumables and the like, based in the South West of England. They're very competitive and stock all the major brands of quality lubricants. IPTOC has applied to them for recognised club status in order to gain access to their club discount structure...

Hi all, Still harbouring plenty of bits and pieces. Haven't received any email notifications from the forum for some time now, so if people have been PMing me and getting frustrated at the lack of response, that is why. If you do need some bits and a PM yields no response, please email me iptoc AT h...

Just a few more bits: 2.3 (4ZD1) and 2.6 (4ZE1) blocks are taller than 1.8 (4ZB) and 2.0 (4ZC1) blocks. This is part of the reason why they have different timing belts. 1.8 and 2.0/2.0T engines have the same oil pumps. 2.3 and 2.6 items will not fit the 1.8 or 2.0 blocks without some machining; I kn...

Guys, In respect of the differences or not between 1994cc 4ZC1 and 4ZC1-T engines: 1) Blocks are the same except for the take-off spigots for the turbo oil and water supplies 2) Crankshafts are the same 3) Camshafts are the same 4) Oil pumps are the same (!) 5) Pistons and connecting rods are DIFFER...

That's the type!

No, it wasn't a modified one - I know the guy who had the car and the rear spoiler came from an Isuzu dealer in London. It was apparently part of a body kit that Isuzu were making available for the Piazza, but I guess it never properly saw light of day.

Shame as it's smart.

Wedgie, I hear you. However, I think the haphazard approach to specification was evident all the way through; I have some early Japanese brochures, for example, that clearly show 82 and 83MY cars with smooth rear ends, like the later HBL cars - i.e. without the recess and infill panel - but with ear...

Wedgie, I was referring to the spoiler I had seen as a TWO leg on an Irmscher as being higher up the tailgate, and having concealed fixings. All the three legged spoilers I've seen have been in the same position as the UK HBL spoiler. My point was really that the two legged spoiler pictured is not s...

Absolutely. I would do the same if I had the time, as there is wiring present in the UK spec cars' tailgates for a high mounted stop lamp due to the wiring loom being common with New Zealand and Japanese tailgates. I'd be interested if anyone has any pics of a 3-legged spoiler without the lamp thoug...

Bugle is correct in terms of the amount of legs, but as far as I can glean from brochures and a car here that used to belong to our club founder which featured an Irmscher spoiler, the 2 leg Irmscher spoiler sits higher up the tailgate and is definitely a different spoiler to the UK HBL spec one. Th...
