Re: Alternator options
Having just gone through this process I will chime in with a couple of recommendations of my own. First one is off a Toyota Cressida. Part number off this supplier is 422-65-8310, but this one is almost identical in every way to the factory Piazza. Same chassis, shaft size, mount holes, 70amp (-5amp...

Re: Piazza_man project
Turbo back on and an oil and oil filter change later. I don’t travel many kms in a year but I hadn’t changed the oil and filter in a while. My oil of choice if anyone was interested 3ACBA5E7-76A1-4F38-8777-955417792FBB.png To maintain an IC engine properly regular oil changes are recommended despite...

Re: Piazza_man project
Turbo core rebuilt, fully carbonised cleaned, bench flow tested, and good to go. Like brand new. Throw in special Stage 8 bolts, now let’s see them loosen off this time you mother F.

Re: Piazza_man project
Car was developing leaky exhaust sounds from around the manifold area a few weeks ago. Concerned, I pulled off the heat shield and found one of the 4 bolts attached to the turbine housing completely missing and another had almost fallen off it it wasn’t for the oil return fitting in its way. Still s...

Some cool pics you have there. The Nurburgring track would have been an awesome experience, and loving that 80’s retro tracksuit while talking on that car phone You still the only Piazza owner in Norway?

Re: Piazza_man project

Re: Piazza_man project
Happy to go through the engine bay mods. But before you begin, the key thing is to ensure your engine bay is clean from grease, dirt etc. with strong degreaser and high water pressure. High pressure water is not essential but handy if your engine has built-up grease and grime. I used normal water pr...

Re: Piazza_man project
Thanks mate. Piazza engine bays aren’t the prettiest by a long shot with so much clutter of hoses, wires, and pollution gear etc that it makes it so hard to make them look half decent for shows. There’s still a little more work to do, but the many hours of hard work is starting to pay off. But I f m...

Re: Piazza_man project
Engine bay is nearly to my acceptable standard. Made my own custom 2 part cold air box from aluminium sheet finished off in gloss black. Laser cut custom brushed SS plaque on the air box to tie in with plaque I had made for the intercooler plaque and matt black vinyl graphics to cap it off. I also p...
