Hmmm - a Toyota engine, and still being run in - in my experience that often means run out . I wonder ifthe price may come down - ie, to maybe 10%; especially considering the front LH damage. Though the name Khoury rings a bell (I think from other Isuzu forums), I hope it's not from the Do not deal ...

IMO most probably it's defunct rack mounts - those rubbers deteriorate with age & oil. Get a 2nd person to look for rack movement as you steer left & right, preferably when stationary. (Yes, that's a joke.) If it's prescription drugs, see your doctor. If it's non-prescription, see me. Sorry ...

Ditto Wedgy. I congratulate you on being one of my trusted sources - they tend to be rare! And I congratulate you on presenting me with a conflict with my GURU... his statement that no G200W Piazzas were exported (en masse) - ie DOHCs were JDM only. And GURU is never wrong. But I still have as yet t...

My Dog, ozfem lives! Alas your writeup requires a login (and I burned my ozFem ID) but the other was public. Good to see others do what I have suggested for so long - ie, filling of slots with liquid paper etc. It was the flexibility of having 360 slots that I liked - ie, easy to get 12 or 18 slots ...

Good gearbox analysis. Hose and hole plugging can be disastrous - from us older G-OHV people that used to block the mechanical fuel pump hole that leaked petrol (because the diaphragm & plunger seal leaked thereby causing fuel to drain out the intended drain hole, or into the sump if it was bloc...

Clutch kits should be available for a few $hundred. (I think any 4Z kit except for 4ZE1 will suit.) For what it's worth, I suggest Exedy. I used to be skeptical of their claims but since recognising their old logo as being that same as in my old Isuzus, and finding their "Quality" approach...

Thanks for getting back to us. And congrats on getting a good (workshop) manual. In my experience, Jap workshop manuals are more like textbooks - it's amazing the detail they can give, almost a full-blown mechanic's course. I especially like their electrical diagrams which i find convey a lot of inf...

I finally had a more thorough look and I too am impressed. I especially like its forum linking to this site. (Congrats! I tried centralisation, sharing, non-duplication etc decades ago only to be met by competitive local warlords. 3 decades later it smems I'm the one with Genuine - and ironically ch...

Ditto, nice pics. And nice car! VERY nice. The G200W Piazza i saw was in 1980. I have a couple of pics but they are on this ancient technology called "prints" unless I was still using slides, but I do recall a hardcopy (print). I should be able to find it and scan etc but they are probably...

Dang! Thought it might have been the G200W Piazza I saw at the Melbourne Motor Show in 1980. Alas I'm only guessing the following answers to various degrees of confidence... The gearbox should be the same as other GZ series and 4Z series engines (ie, not its GW twincam alternative, nor other G-serie...

WOW - at $5 I'd grab that '84 Impulse manual. Pity about the >$50 postage (USD). I agree, may as well PM or email each other if Clyde doesn't respond. (I think he has the Coffs or Byron '84 G200Z Piazza that I knocked back.) I've forgotten the details GURU said about our Aussie Piazzas. Now knowing ...

... (cough) engineering master piece (cough cough) ... Well, it is - or was. I was looking for a site that had a reasonable write up and mentioned how Ford & others bought Piazzas and reverse-engineered things like its door hinges etc. I think it was one of the yank sites (or maybe even south '...

WOW - starting bid ~AUD$12. I'd pay that for the (fun of having) Piazza G200W info. (I have the G200WE-Japanese.pdf) And I might finally get decent wing mirrors - ie, electric & convex - though would you need electric if convex? Great find eyecon! And I'd still have to look up which are JR120 &a...

Damn - I see I'm a "Power Moderator". I was gonna say someone must know something; contact a mod; etc. But wrx884 seemed to get one from Roy (Virtual-R) in Piazza overdrive switch wiring - 6th post Sun Dec 13, 2015 11:54 pm (Zulu AEDT) noting that that is for the Aussie 4ZC1-t Piazza. IMO ...

"As usual"? LOL! I started answering as if it were an Aussie but amazingly managed to reread the '84 in the title.

Not that I'd admit that on the forum of course.

Hey, that PM Submit button looks a bit different...
