The Aussie 1986 turbo workshop manual is still advertised on the Home page, but 1984 was an import with G200Z else G200W version - both ITEC EFI (albeit with the ex-Byron Bay G200Z I saw having a mechanical dizzy unlike G200W twincams which have the optical locked dizzy). The 900 page aussie 4ZC1-t ...

The Detroit (Eaton?) was one I picked up from Pick A Part from a Rodeo else Jackaroo not unlike the ones on offroaders.com/tech/Detroit-Locker-automatic-lockers - eg: http://www.offroaders.com/info/tech-corner/project-cj7/images/locker/detroit-locker.jpg with guts like.... http://www.offroaders.com/...

Ditto. Similar to above, I always replace the front seal before changing boxes, and often the speedo seals - inner & outer - though like the rear seal, they can be done later - especially if a bit of oil loss isn't a big deal. Shifters are hard to tighten being a stick-fork relationship, but the...

I seriously want to edit my last reply, but FYI, the following is olde communication relating to a missing fold-out page in the 900 page version of piazzamanual.pdf. (As I said at the time - " I can't believe it took me so many years to notice it! "!) The missing (fold-out) page is in S12 ...

D4P80-01 2503 distributors - anyone?

Greetings ye that still look at these olde non-faceboob forums! I seek info on a G200W Piazza style "optispark" distributor type D4P80-01 2503 (Isuzu p/n 8942313342) which has an elongated REF slot. (REF slots being the 4 inner slots.) The G200W Piazza dizzies I have seen typically have no...

Yes.
It is a solenoid, not a relay.

My autobox has Black & Pink wires, the Pink male spade being adjacent to the plug's index. Pink goes to the switch. Black is to the solenoid. Both are easy to see on the left-rear of the box so color confirmation should be easy. FWIW, the solenoid measured ~16 Ohms so it's <1A. I did apply +12V ...

Yeah. $12 for the PDF. It used to be $15. Some sucker scanned 900 pages and converted to PDF for less than 2c a page. He later "donated" the PDF to help fund the Piazza site which cost over $100 a year to host. I like the PDF because it's more portable and transferable. Sure, it's not sear...

Do you have piazzamanual.pdf? (Get it!! See the Home page.) I can try to check my box(es) and scattered wiring but that might take time (like, maybe next century...). But based on the PDF wiring diagrams... p813 (12-79) shows BrR to the grounded O/D Solenoid and Br to the grounded Kick Down switch. ...

Sorry for the delay. I found a 10x1" with 1" UJs. (All other UJs were fine spline.) I was going to post a pic but don't think I can (no image storage on this site??). There is some surface rust which these days I'd probably electroplate off but emery or steel wool should do fine. I'd want ...

Presumably also with the 1" circliped UJ? (As opposed to swaged 1" or larger Gemini etc types.)

Yeah, I need to get a life. Or maybe it's like the (Isuzu-GM) Gemini forums I was on - despite never owning a Gemini nor any of its engines, I clocked over 4,000 posts. My signature included "Caveat: I've never owned a Gemini." Here it should be "Caveat: Though I own 2 Piazzas, they h...

Loosen the big nut (17mm?) on the front of the upper pulley. That loosens the pulley so it can move.
Move the pulley up or down via the long threaded almost vertical tensioning bolt (12mm head?) behind the pulley.

Checked some of the web pages... like plugging in OBD etc diag tools, or checking for slip in the axles...??? LOL - I'm having a dig at some of the crap else irrelevant info out there. Have you checked the engine compression? (And hence splug (spark plug) health?) Also check battery connections - ES...
