I am doing a 94mm bore, if that is what you mean. That puts me on the big side of 2.6L at 2637.3cc's

100% Custom JE Pistons, built around the exact specs I gave them. 30+psi, 8.5:1 compression, E85 fuel, etc etc. Which is why they are made to the specs they have been made to...but ouch.

I didn't realize how expensive custom pistons had gotten recently. Admittedly, I added a couple of options, such as accumulator grooves and reduced skirt profile, but with the rings (94mm, which is supposedly an odd size) and "uber" wrist pins included they cost $100 more than my rods. Adm...

To each his own. There isn't going to be a whole lot left of the original car left in my case. I bought it as a basket case that was partially taken apart, and have since swapped the engine, the trans, soon the rear axle, the entire fuel system, removing all of the emissions components that weren't ...

It's a shame that the Dana 44 isn't as common down there as it is here in the US. I just picked up mine from a 1996 Rodeo V6 today. 4.30 with factory Limited slip. I am planning on different gears, but I may try and rebuild the limited slip and use it for a while., and if not there are a ton of diff...

No idea, but hiring a media blaster is fairly expensive, and it would have to all be done in my garage packed full of stuff that isn't mine that can't be moved out to make space.

I already looked at that option, which is why I am looking elsewhere.

Oh, and I did turn up something I may just have to try for removing the undercoating. It won't get it all, but that looks like it will save me a lot of time.

I have a little bit more to remove under the rear of the car, but for the most part it is nearly clear of everything. Now I just have to figure out the next step, which is cleaning up the rust and removing the old undercoating. As far as the rust I planned on using a wire wheel on my angle grinder f...

I was most likely going to get black, but the color would be selectable. They build forms for the carpet and can form any type/color desired. I still haven't heard back from them yet so who knows. I am sure it will be some number that will be impossible to achieve given the scarcity of the car.

Carpet

I don't know about you guys, but my OE carpeting is more or less completely shot. This car being what it is, there are no molded aftermarket carpet kits, that I know of, out there. That being said, I contacted this company. http://www.stockinteriors.com/ Because they have a good reputation in the Cr...

nah, it should be ok. Most of the force hit the side of my finger instead of the nail itself. It will still hurt like hell for a week though lol

I've had worse, but where it's at really sucks lol. My right index finger at the cuticle. My finger lost the battle with the 14mm impact socket on my 700ft-lb generating impact wrench when the U-joint decided it needed to fling it. It tore off a moderate flap of skin that I cut most of it away, but ...

My day today for a few hours... I just had to sacrifice part of my finger to the garage gods to make this happen. http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad246/odd_Ball_performance/Impulse/rearsuspension003_zpscecc7952.jpg http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad246/odd_Ball_performance/Impulse/rearsuspensi...

Lookin' better! Got my fuel tank back from cleaning and sealing. Decided to strip it down to metal and give it a new paint job since the old paint was half missing and there was some surface rust on it. I just used a wire wheel and my angle grinder for most of it, and a thin block of wood and 80 gri...
