Sorry I'm late in on this one. But I thought the same as what Tommy wrote. I decided ages ago it was nothing but wank factor - and a bluddy annoying one at that. (Even in my rear view mirror!) I too have seen reports on power lost from BOVs. It reminded me of all those mosquito riders (in Aus you ar...

Are G200W Piazzas I-TEC with optic distributor?
Finally, my first New Topic. (And 2nd New Topic in any forum LOL!) I thought that G200W Piazzas were I-TEC with an optic distributor. (FYI - Optic pickups modules are available. And a "ref" disc. Info below.) However, recently I have seen several "Piazza" G200Ws with reluctor dis...

I don't know for the Piazza, but I always went for KONI. But recently I looked at prices and now I just swear, I'm glad I pulled those KONIs off that Jackaroo for $11 each last year - I thought they were only a couple off $hundred each. And I have been VERY impressed by KYB. They were standard on Is...

So you won't be able to do much. $2500 might cover an ECU/injector upgrade. You were after engines etc. I have a G200W with forged pistons, but I'd be after at least AUD$2500 for that. Then there's freight - I'd assume a few $hundred. And that;s without fuel (ECU or carbies). So what's you current t...

CDI is the best ignition. As for the rest, you need to learn and consider your budget, as well as local regulations - eg, can you legally modify your ECU etc. The Piazza has an old ECU which would be better replaced. But then why not get an EVO motor etc. How many $thousands do you want to spend, an...

The starter won't splatter oil - it doesn't access any (unless rear main seal blown etc) but dizzy ring is quite likely. On the Piazza with knock sensor, it's probably best to time with light. Surely you can see it, or draw other marls where you can? Normally I never use timing lights and set as adv...

I'd ignore their advice. I have never known lifters to be a problem in the Piazza. In fact, I don't know of any Piazza that has lifters. So unless your Impulses do not run overhead cams like most modern cars do..... What they may mean is the cam/tappet clearances which is something you can check you...
