Thanks Jonno. I recommend the event to all - I went a few years ago (Kiama).
I wish I had my twincam Florian or GT - I reckon it'd blow everything on the hillclimb (using 5th gear as usual).

Good find! So the 400Nm G200W wasn't powerful enough? You can't get that torque (with a mere exhaust change) from the 4ZC1-t which has the same st'd power (~135HP though the 400Nm G200W retune with st'd pistons is 150HP, but that's irrelevant when you have 400Nm!). The reference to the 'sedan on whi...

Normally washers are simple, eg a +12V connected motor with push-button switch to chassis (GND, earth, 0V ).(Additional washer triggers or extension circuits are simply paralleled to the 0V pb switch.) And then there's the Piazza... Firstly though, I am working from memory and the Almighty piazzaman...

Aside from Chilton's Isuzu Cars and Truck 1981-91 I only have the piazzamanual.pdf which used to be available from this site (for AUD $15?). That covers only the 4ZE1-t with mechanical distributor and Bosch Jetronic based Jap EMS and not the Isuzu I-TEC systems with optical dizzy (which I think was ...

Was it low on oil? My usual solution is to get another box - eg, $90 from Pick A Part. I try to get 0.785 ratio 5ths from early Geminis (and then swap bells for my left side startermotors) and then match clutch centres and output splines to suit. But they are not the stronger steel sandwich plate Pi...

I presume you have a much higher than standard compression. 91RON should be good up to 9.5:1 compression. (And that your aren't using the knock sensor.) Otherwise it's a bad ignition curve. (You're using mapped ignition, not the pathetic recalcitrant Dog knows why GMH ordered that mechanical dizzy?)...

I didn't think 10W40 was the right engine oil but IPTOC here claim 10W30 or 10W40 mineral (or semi-synth), but they also claim 97RON fuel, AND the 10W rating may be for their colder climate. I thought it used normal GTX etc (20W50) and 91-92 RON - not that I ever got to the stage of reoiling and ref...
