Funny you should say that about revitalizing the retro Piazza/Impulse and the Gemini for that matter. I personally think that time is due. As a former Industrial Designer with some automotive design experience working at GMH in Melbourne I decided to get my creative juices flowing once again and pro...

I wonder if the Subaru SVX (which was also another Giugiaro design) had any ex Isuzu designer's input. It's kinda got that uniqueness the Piazza/Impulse has. It's also too coincidental the SVX came along around the time (1992) those designers had jumped ship. I'll see if I can get a picture of the S...

I guess that makes Subaru close cousins, or like a brother from another mother. Impulse-Piazza-Imprezza. I can definitely see something in this connection now.

Thanks Piazzish. I actually thought you had the 'styled by Giugiaro' badge. No to worry. BTW I bought two original and new 'design GIUGIARO' badges the other day from feebay. $25 incl delivery from UK. Even though I dont own a Piazza (yet) I couldnt turn down a bargain. Here is a link if anyone else...

Isuzu and Piazza timeline and history lesson

Here is a link that people might find interesting. It's from a Piazza fanatic in the States. Apart from giving a timeline on models, specs, features etc, it delves more into the real reason why Isuzu didn't sell that many Piazzas. It explains how GM (global) was responsible for their demise, which p...

Hi there Chris,
Not sure who your're doing this for, but the yellow car you're referring to isn't mine. Sorry if I caused any confusion.

The same post by Virtual R appears in the NEWS part of the forum, yet they're not directly linked/grouped.

So I'll repeat what I said in that post on 13 December in case it went unnoticed:
"Donation made guys. Happy to help." :yawinkle:

Dude you're doing my head in with some of that crazy voodoo talk :) At least you know what you're doing. I'll need someone like you to to get it working. Way out my league. All I want to know is whether it will run better than the original setup. That and how much better and reliable it will be.

Love the idea of self learning/tuning electronics. Always thought the standard dizzys were a hindrance to real performance gains. Can't recall there was any of this stuff on the market when I had my car, otherwise I would have gone that route.

My neighbour has my vac advance (in his Toyota!). I'm waiting to get to a wreckers to get the proper one (instead of $70 or $170 whatever for a new one - that's called "get a Jaycar electronic timing kit instead"!). Keep the Jaycar kit in mind = ~$99 for 11-step progammable vac & spee...
