I am losing coolant but there are no leaks. Now Im finding metal (looks like lead pencil shavings) filings in my coolant. Anyone know what thats from? Is it from the turbo - that would explain the unexplained coolant loss and possibly the filings. Any know???

I only have the Chilton's manual at the moment, whcih is kinda crappy. Plus Im no mechanic, so interpreting a vacuum diagram is beyond me.

Speaking of cruise control vacuum hoses and the fact that most cruise control systems dont work anyway, does anyone know which hoses are related to that and can be removed/blocked which would make the engine a little less messy????

Just use a hose with a pressure nozzle. Shoot water at any place where you think water might come in (including from underneath) and you'll soon discover where the water comes from....
