Bahaha, it's okay guys, banter is good. Banter keeps forums alive! Time for another update. It rained good and proper here the other day, so I went for a spirited drive in the deserted reaches of the hills. It occurs to me that even the slight lag from the IHI is annoying at times. Besides this, the...

Time for a super quick post before bed. Good to hear some gas shocks are durable - but I get the impression they're either durable OR tough! Alas, still haven't made up my mind on Spax. I reckon the Piazza will just get a matching rear pair of Koni's anyway. WHYYYY MUST EVERYTHING RATTLE OR SQUEAK!!...

Thanks for the info guys! I *think* the stuff I bought was 5.1, but at any rate, I flushed it on Sunday with new dot 3. I think it was probably a good idea to do a full system flush anyway. While I was at it I rust treated the underside of my battery tray welding, and sprayed a bit of cavity wax (an...

Yeah, I'm an idiot, it was just the overflow bottle (lol). And agreed on the battery clamp/laws of motion thing. I don't understand how people drive cars without battery clamps, madness. Anyway. IT'S REGO'D! I've now driven it, and driven it through the hills! It's altogether a functional car with n...

Fixed the headlight motor!!! HELL YES! It was just that little relay thingy to the inside of the battery - I'd already tried another one, turns out both were duds! So it's no longer chewing fuses! Rego tomorrow hopefully.

Time for an update! The car thinks it needs coolant, but it doesn't. Maybe I missed a wire or something, I'd better check it. Has anyone else had this? I drove it the other day, the first real time since fixing a lot of stuff. It works! I can actually feel the turbo come on boost (just), and it pull...

I wouldn't bother with their website. Call their authorised distributor, they're really helpful. I just need to cut some Commodore springs for a reference height, see what I think of the spring rate, get some customs made and then order some short stroke rear shocks...

Cheers Eyecon, yeah I wasn't sure which one to look at, that definitely helps. Bugle - you can to an extent using progressive rates, ie a long soft bit up the top which binds on itself once the car's weight is on it. Imagine if you had a slinky duct taped to the bottom of a normal car spring. It can...

Just bumping this thread with some more recent info. I emailed King Springs, and they've told me they have no base specifications for a Piazza at all, so they can't make a spring for the car as such. Of course, they can make a fully custom spring, but that comes with a fairly substantial risk of bei...

I'm pretty sure they're "the same". Except I'm sure they're not exactly the same. The D1 head may have a little drive pin on the inlet side that needs to be sealed off. The dizzy and backing plate may possibly be marginally different... Obviously you'll want to keep the Piazza dizzy, so I'...

Hahaha awesome! Good to hear you went through Ewan! He's a great guy, and although I haven't actually gone ahead with any full transactions (it was more hunting for rare stuff - poor bugger) he's always been great to deal with. If anyone else follows suit, tell him Eli the Gemini nut from Adelaide s...

Holy crap! I've never seen standard seats in green! And now I'm scared to take my sideskirts off. My Piazza had a hole rusted in the two skins of the battery tray, it has rust around the bottom sill of the rear window (note that mine didn't have a wing, ones that did are worse), some rust starting i...
