oh you still having the same problems.. that is very strange. I also of IE 6

it must be your browser settings but it is a PHP chat not Java.. Umm click Tools and than on Internet Options. Also make sure you delete your cookies and temp files as it might be to full.

Also if you have any kind of spyware or firewall try switching them off.

tried everything, cookies and temp files not a problem, only have norton av, have tried with it disabled and still no luck.

You have to remember you are dealing with an idiot, WTF is PHP and how would I recognise it if it was stuck to my shoe!

Ok well lets try it step by step.

When your IE is open click on "Tools" located at the top. Go down the Menu and click on "Internet Options". A window will pop up and you will have a top menu in this order-> General Security Privacy Content Connections Programs and Advance. Click on "Security". than click on custome level. Check all the prompts to see if nothing is disabled what shouldnt be. Click ok and than go through the other menu options such as "Trusted sites" and Restricted sites click on both the "Default level" mine are set to low so you may wanna change that if it is set to high.

Also when your in the main Internet Options menu click on "Advance" go down the lists and check if something has been enabled or disabled what shouldnt be.

Another thing would be while your in the "Internet Options" window to click on "Privacy". Myn is set to medium, if yours is set higher than you may wanna change that.

If all that doesnt work maybe you should re instal your browser by going to www.microsoft.com and download the latest IE. Or if you dont want to re install it download Netscape (www.netscape.com) and try it with that browser.

I lied a little bit, I'm not really a complete idiot. I've already been through all that stuff setting all security levels to low , enabling everything, setting up the forum and the APC as trusted sites, I have disabled all web protections, temporarily! I have just upgraded to latest browser and recently junked netscape coz it was causing me all sorts of grief with hang ups and blue screens of death. I've restarted this bloody machine so many times I'm wearing out the switch and still the chat room page comes up blank. I have the solution, I'm gonna forget the whole thing and at the appointed time I will have a beer anyway and talk to my bleeding self.

Maybe I've gotta apply for a fecking visa from the OZ embassy!

hmm that is very strange.

try this, click on this link http://www.holdenpiazza.com/chat/ and see if it works maybe the php3 is making you troubles.

Also try to get into http://www.holdenpiazza.com/chat/chat/r ... ?L=english which is the registration page..

If all this doesnt work than download firefox which is a great browser or get drunk by your all lonsem

It gets weirder and weirder,

http://www.holdenpiazza.com/chat/ didn't do anything for me, same result, browser opns immediately a new page and stops dead in the water.

However, http://www.holdenpiazza.com/chat/chat/r ... ?L=english
opened correctly straightaway and I followed the registration process, it allowed me to register no problem so I'm stuffed if know, The chat still won't open. I even tried coming at it from the gateway page, Apc home page and the forum with the same result every time.

Paranoia level rising!

yup, it is getting really strange.

Another thing you could try is pasting the link in your adress bar directly instead of using a link.

Also I would like you to try this link -> http://command-post.org/tcpchat/phpMyChat.php3 which is a USA based server and uses the same chat software.

Like to add for anyone whos also experience similar problems, we have fixed it. Wedgy IE is stuffed either due to settings, trojans or viruses or maybe they made a special NZ edition of IE which would explain everything, :finga: .

Anyways, if you do have those problems heres the fix:

Either remove IE and download the latest from www.microsoft.com if that doesn't work download FireFox which is a very secure and good Internet Browser.
