It might be worth your while to get a pair of 14" steelies and get them widened out to 8" or whatever you can fit under the back. Wont matter what offset they are as long as they are 4x100, grab a set of 14" rims from a falcon or a kingswood and get the centres put in. Its not that expensive. less than $100 a rim.
You wouldnt have to lash out on a set of slicks, i rekon a set of nice soft retreads would do the trick. say 225/60/14". even 70 series if they will fit under the guards. Play with the pressures and run em as low as you can.
Could try taking the spare wheel out and sticking a 20kg bag of something in the hole too. might stop that side lifting/spinning. Might not work too.
But then again, wider tyres means more grip and more stress on the diff. You might break shit.
Cool pics. I love the racing the Piazza. It should be mandatory.
Cheers, Bob.

as for mods on that run i just had the 10 psi pod air filter and on the weekend before the run i bough those super 4 bosch plugs new exhaust sensor and removed the injectors and had them cleaned
On the night it was pissing my off, the car was not running right and for the first two runs the car would not go into high boost but they i found that on my first run when i had changed to second so hard that it had pulled the wires of the back of my dual stage boost controller switch sending the turbo back to low setting.
I also found that if i didnt have the car running at 90 degrees the turbo would not spin up properly and the car would lag heaps and miss and fart a little down the 1/4??????? It was also do this if i had the thermo going while i run the track. But because i have no clutch fan on my car and the oringal temp guage dont work i really dont know what temp the car is meant to run?????
I was wondering wether anybody thinks it would be a bad idea to remove the air switch that controls the turbo's cooling as i felt the lines after the drag and the turbo side is really hot while the radiator side was cool????
cheers
Brendan

Have you checked that the problem why your original gauge doesnt work is not a faulty connection somewhere?
That radiator to turbo valve thing on mine was broken when I got the car but it had an oil cooled turbo anyway. Since changing to a water cooled T3 I haven't bothered with that valve. The skyline it came off didn't run anything like that either and it seems alright. Not sure it would be a good idea with the factory turbo though they must've put it there for a reason.
The misfiring is strange you shouldn't get any of that under any conditions regardless of temperature..

Brendan, do you have a Piazza manual??? Its should give the resistance values for the sender, armed with them you should be able to find one.
I went to the drags at Calder park on friday night. Im itching to get my piazza on the track. Im looking at doing so in two weeks once ive fixed the alternator. I will let you know what i run.
Cheers. Bob.
