not Isuzu but more of a regional query:

http://www.rpw.com.au/shop/

http://www.performancestylingcentre.com.au/

wondering if any of you local fellas with Mitsu, Hyun or Proton exposure ever done business with these shops or at least heard any good/bad about their service or parts?

I want a shifter for my Hyundai X2, it costs a decent amount + shipping + core to get one to the US. I think I'm the only dumbass in the US that bothers to care about an X2 (hmm, maybe shares some non-blood kinship to JR?) so can't get any feedback from home.

currently I have about 1 inch of play in the shifter while it's in any gear.
talk about sloppy seconds... and thirds, fourths and fifths! :sex:

What's an X2? One of those Excels that looks like a JT Gemini? Why didn't ya just buy a turbo I-Mark? :yawinkle:
Can't you get new bits for them over there or do they design that amount of play into it?

They were crap even new. Like a stick in a bucket.

I wouldnt be buying anything. Get onto it one day when the cars is not needed, nut out a super you beaut sports shift. Shorten the throws and tighten it up with some custom made replacment brass bushes. Will make the stick vibrate and rattle id expect but it will feel like a race car to shift with.

becuse I got this thing for free :yawinkle:

and I-Marks are pretty rare over here, the few I've seen for sale were clapped out with the carby motors.
plus you can't bolt in a 4G63t into an I-Mark

yeah Bob, I want to replace it with a sport shifter. aside from the bushings, there are arms & levers & whatnot that can be altered for shorter throws. i don't really understand the geometry so i hesitate to start chopping it up. if you alter it just right you should be able to do 2-3 shifts in 1 diagonal motion.
vibrate and rattle
that is the theme for the whole car
