My Baby From when i got her to this day

Post by brendan »

The day i got her, $1500 from my old boss, some say i got ripped but i dont listen
Image

Then all the work started to get it ready for a blue slip, really surpised it passed with how low the shocks are
Image

These wheels were off my last car and i didnt think that ould fit, but two wheel spaces on the front wheels fixed that problem :tonqe:

And the newest picture i have of my car is this one, but i will post a better one once i find the cable to my camera

Brendan,

Very nice.

Here I was thinking that the black ones were hard to find now i know Bob, bugle, myself and you have one. Whos else has a black one?

Your front bar, is it the rubber one with the isuzu moulded in the left front like bugles or is it a hard plastic one with a rubber skirt?

What size are your rims? How big were the spacer you put behind?

I have heard the factory rear spoiler is a bit of a rust magnet. Hows yours?

Sorry for all the Q's. Once again nice car.

Looks great with those wheels

Probably heaps of black ones around because they're the best looking and people couldn't bring themselves to wreck them :)

Looks like the hard plastic bumper, has the indicators/parkers in the wrong spot for soft one.

Yeah the Holden "Formula" pack came with hard plastic bar with the skirt attached as well as the rear spoiler. Skirt even had the cutouts for the jap indicators which looks a bit funny..

I dont think you got ripped mate. I love black, and that paintshop looks close to new.. I can also see you got it with some interior works.. Give us some pics from the inside..

Anything done to the engine?

Mine must be the "formula" pack too.

It had the hard plastic bumper with the lower skirt and the rear spoiler.

The bumper was dammaged so ive taken it off. Ive got one here without the skirt to fit till i can fix it. What a shit of a thing the bumper is to get off too.

The skirt actually interferes with fitting bigger diameter tyres.

The spoiler has been taken off too. Some of the mounting bolts are missing and rusted and the water has gotten to it. The tail gate has had a bit of rust repaired in it and the mounting holes arent plugged. I will reattach the spoiler some how, just got to sit down and nut it out.

Joe and chris had a skirt on theres too if i remember rightly.

hehe never tried that one
Probably because I have to take the front bar off to actually get the car onto ramps so that I can get underneath it :) Had to do it several times so i'm getting pretty good at it.

Run it up on some 4x2's then onto the ramps.

Why did your friends think $1500 for that car was a ripoff? I'd say its more like a bargain....
If Gemini's were ever meant to go fast, they would have come out of the factory with 4zc1t engines!!

yup times have changed since the last two three years ive noticed.
I used to pick piazzas for under $1000 up and people would just through them onto me..

Times have defenetly changed since than. People do get more aware of the rareness and rethink twice about selling it.

Most of wreckers heard by now about the piazza search and put a big
price tag on parts even though their expenisve as it is. In my first silver
one (with the scoop) just out of interest I went with it to a car yard in
2001 and asked him how much he would give me for it.. He laughed at
me and said if your lucky $50... Year later I saw a car yard with a piazza
in Melton who wanned $7.600 for a stock black auto...

Times have changed and I believe we may see the day again when u
wont find a piazza under $5000 anymore.. I also think since the piazza
search more people woken up and the interest for the piazza in general
has grown. Its like the piazza is having a paypack on us or something
like awoken from the dead. Scary... Just my .02
