congrats on the new PB
Nice skid too
We gotta go race each other when I get mine going, 2 black Piazzas going down the strip would be a rare event

yeah for sure, that would be great as it was no one knew what the car was and it came up over the speaker "in the k&n lane we have THAT CAR AGAIN" lol
It was great fun and i know the car has more in it beacause the boost was low due to a manifold leak i didnt know about, just got to find myself another gearbox or fix mine first

those look like high offset wheels. if you don't mind, what are the sizing details?

Brendan,
Next time you go out let me know. I have finally got the Motec up and running on my car and together with the VF8 turbo its a huge improvement in power. Would love to run mine against another Piazza!!

i have my microtech sitting next to me on the table all base tuned and ready to go in the car, just lack of funds stopping me at the moment, found i had a exhaust leak at the manifold, fixed that now so should get a better time on 14psi :>:>:>

Looks really good brendan
When you throw the microtech on, throw a 4ZE1 dizzy on it as well and get it tuned in fuel/spark mode

How much power is it making now Dave?

Fair bit more, the change in torque is most significant especially now I can alter timing in the low rpm range and really bring on the boost hard. I havent had it on the dyno yet, will be going on in a few weeks after i get the paint job done. Ill post up the graphs when I get them. But its only running on 10psi now, want to eventually up it to 16psi once I get the clutch done.

I still rekon a fair bit would fall off your PB if you had a big fat pair of 14's on the back with under 20 psi of air in them. Even the same width as your tyres they will hook up better and wont spin as easy.
225 wide would be good to stuff under there. Even 245's if the offset is spot on.
Of course your diff would have a big spit but you get that. lol.

just wondering what makes the 4ze1 dizzy so much better, from what i can work out it is a crank angle sensor type, but why is this so much better?
The microtech will let me adjust the timing as well because i have to disconnect the vacuum advance and bob weight when i the computer goes in

Yeah nothing wrong with using a variable reluctor pickup like the standard Piazza dizzy

You have to be careful as the 4ZE1 distributors is photoelectric and some aftermarket ECU's dont like the signal they generate.
