Dear all,

Does anybody know how to find a replacement for a broken fuel dampener (aka fuel damper)? (Isuzu has used up all stocks years ago.)

Unlike fuel (pressure) regulators I have not been able to find any fuel dampener (aka fuel damper) at eBay and elsewhere.

Sincerely,

P.S.

I have just installed a BOSCH 0280161024 (replacement part for BMW and Alfa Romeo cars manufactured in late 70s - early 80s) in place of the broken part . . . my engine is now running quite smoothly.

Where did you mount the dampener?
Our 4ZC1-t's don't have one and don't seem to need one.

Please refer to

It is mounted right next to the TURBO casing.

Here in Japan 4ZC1 engines shipped after 1985 are equipped with fuel pulsation dampeners, I suppose.

Ok - I missed it in our service manual (Piazzamanual.pdf) but found it in the Holden Piazza Parts Catalog (1/3 - D13; 03-340-1) #7 = p/n 8941669600.
