Windscreen Cowl replacement rubber seal

On Piazzas the original windscreen cowl consists of 2 lengths of thin rubber weather strips which are glued along the top edge of the cowl (or runs along the bottom of the windscreen). You can appreciate that over time the original factory rubber seal strips naturally perish, and become hard and brittle. I removed mine a couple of years ago due to this issue. Original Piazza rubber cowl seals are no longer available but I recently discovered and highly recommend this rubber seal replacement from eBay. In terms of its fitment and profile it’s nearly perfect, and cheap too at about AU$10 for 5 meters, but you only need less than 2 meters.

The eBay rubber seal replacement comes with a self adhesive strip but I would recommend adding a light bead of silicone or rubber adhesive to hold these in properly for a longer period.
