When I tried to get an aftermarket one they could only get 4ZB1 shuttle ones so I had to goto Holden and get ripped off.

If your talking the belt its the same part. You ripped yourself off.

The B1 and C1 have the same belt.
The D1 has the same pitch belt but a few teeth longer.
The E1 had a different pitch belt and its got heaps more teeth coz the teeth are smaller.

Id say get a Delco or similar belt. Steer clear of the Gates belts ive heard some bad stories.
Cheers. Bob.

Nah I mean the head gasket.
I got a Gates belt from Auto one.
I thought Gates supplied original belts for engines made in Australia? Can't be that bad.

Any Holden motor made here gets a Canadian made AC-Delco belt.

I dont think its too much of an issue on the older SOHC stuff. Wont cut the mustard on twin cam gear thats "hard" on timing belts. IE: short replacement intervals.
