hey guys my names julian
i'm just trying to find out the correct ingnition timing for my piazza engine ive done a serch on this site and ozgemini but unfortunatly it only norrowed it down for timing of the timing belt.
just wondering if anyone could help me out i would also like to know if the timing is retarded under boost or just advance with vancum. thought it was around 10 btdc but it didn't seem to enjoy it too much. the engine is a 4cz1 i was also curious to know if the timing was similar between other piazza engines i.e later or earlier models

Timing is 18 deg btdc @ 900rpm with vacuum attached. According to the graphs in the service manual it retards the timing under boost. Only difference between models that I know of is American ones have the timing set at 12 degrees.
