auto

For one who is not mechanically minded, sounds like a typical Piazza headache to me.
I have a spare auto box.
Would it be easier to just ditch the shake rattle and stir one?

Yeah sounds like a good excuse to convert it to manual

Would love to convert it to manual but this car has been promised to my daughter and she does not handle a manual too well.
Let me rephrase that.
Cannot drive a manual.

Before changing the box it would pay to check all those things you can check easily in case it is something simple like a mounting etc. If no luck it would be decent idea to flick into a tranny specialist and get a diagnosis done, no point changing it and finding out later that wasn't the problem. Auto boxes are easy to get in the earlier versions, the later ones are better though with the lock up sp check the plate on the side of your spare tranny and see if has an "L" after the model number. If it doesn't then it is an early one. If it does it is a goody and worth keeping.

Remember wedgy we never got earlier ones in Australia, we only got the lock up version and there's loads of autos discarded from Gemini conversions, so shouldn't be too hard to find another one, could try ozgemini.

Thats interesting, grab me a spare lock up drive and glue a couple of stamps on it and pop one in the post, the lock ups are hard to get here

I think I might have test driven that car way back then, before Dave put in a better offer than me :D
If Gemini's were ever meant to go fast, they would have come out of the factory with 4zc1t engines!!

Car was purchased from Rick Ludgate in Vic.
Not sure where he got it from.
I drove it across to Adelaide and registered it here approx 8 months ago.

Have changed the auto cross member that was rooted. OOps excuse my French>
Has improved the vibe but not eliminated it.
No time to further check for reasons as I am driving the car to Melb this weekend.
Will maybe get Bob to look at it?????
Thanks for all your input.
