Thought this may end up with some good info, Bugle probably knows where to find this shit. Here goes..
To my knowledge there were 4 different suspension setups availible on different variants of the Piazza. There was the soft and roll-pron YB Aus spec suspension, the Naturally Aspirated Jap piazzas [could be the same as the YB], the Handling By Lotus and the Irmscher cars. Now to the actual question..
Does anyone know the thickness of the front swaybars for the different models along with possibly the spring rates and ways to identify the springs? Reason i ask is this. The Piazza ive placed a deposit on alledgedly runs a larger sway bar then standard. Alls fine and dandy but how big is the standard one? I want to cross-reference so i know wether or not it DOES have the bigger bar.
I also have a front crossmember which i beleive is an import xmember. This too has a fairly beefy looking bar, this is another thing id like to cross check.
Cheers,
Nick-

So which one is the YB? Im guessing the one thats titled TURBO?
If thats the case then the Aus spec Piazza has the biggest sway bars, so the main issue is spring/spring rates?

Yep this page has all the info on suspension for Jap models

My Aus spec one (built may 86) runs 23mm front and 18mm rear. Supposedly they did something to improve the handling in 87, dunno what they did though.

Finally got off my ass and had a look at both my spare crossmember and my car.
The crossmember has a 23mm front swaybar - standard YB right? Table says its also HBL and Impulse.
Had a look at at the car [so much easier to get under there when the front bumper isnt on the car], swaybar mounts struck me as odd. Instead of the black rubber on the xmember they are a pinkish/orange plasticky type [eurethane?]. Swaybar is 27mm and pale blue - whiteline?
