hey all

in the process of trying to get the car back on the road i have found the problem that when under hard braking with no skidding the cars pulls to the left quite a lot. i am slowly working through some possible causes, like strippping and cleaning the calipers, i replaced the buggered passenger side tie rod assemblies and am now on the hunt for some wishbone bushes. just wondering if any of you lads have had any similar troubles and found a solution to it.

cheers

Mine did that a bit, main problem with my front suspension was that the lower bushes crush tubes had broken loose and the bolt had elongated the arm so i'm guessing the arm may have been moving around in the hole a bit under braking.

mmm... ball joints
im glad i read this because this week ill be doing the upper ball joints
ill double check the lower ones of course

yes my car also pulls to the left on hard braking
i just figured its because the dot 3 fluid in my car is probally 20 years old
and the right side wasnt compressing fully/properly

Caliper could be (partially) seized - especially of fluid hasn't been changed for ages.
I usually flush through my system yearly just to get gunk out of the calipers. (Normally 2 year changes are recommended to remove absorbed water.)
