That is strange, try sending Virtual-R an email instead in case the PM notification isn't working properly.

It isn't a dead forum, otherwise you wouldn't be getting this response, would you?

Watch your language Bob.

Virtual-R is not dead. Just sleeping.... (dead being a nasty 4-letter word)

Everyone does? ??

The site may chose to remove material, but it is one of those sites that usually frequented by behaviorally experienced and mature people.
The freedom provided allows extremes that get their message across when needed.
If that is abused, I have little doubt that auto-censorship will be implemented.

What Mr R-Bob wrote is a reasonable assessment. It is quiet because members have their answers etc. We hence tend to jest and banter instead.

There is the occasional long piece of stringer that's wants to be taught everything without constraints nor pre-searching, or asks for a piece of hardware when perhaps they should be offering something for it.
(Those with rare cars often have the parts, but they do not want to part with them. But if the price is right....)

Yeah I know how forums work from being a regular member on other forums. But, you got to expect new people asking for questions that do not know much about this type of stuff to be helped out without expecting anything back in return.

No - we expect new members to be helped.
Hence the replies you got.

But quiet site - yes. Maybe that's what you are not used too.
But you have been after a digi or analog dash for a while now... it doesn't appear too rushed.

Nah hes not dead, i was chatting to him on facebook the night before last i think it was.

Its not my forum. I can just say fuck on it and be confidant that no one well ever tell me i cant and if they do i dont really care anyway.

Someone made me admin once i think it was because i knew stuff and i didnt waste precious time on being nice. I just give the answer as i see it, no flowers or pretty words or any of that crap.

No one died and left me in charge which is good because i dont want to be in charge coz i dont know dick about how forums work.

But i think i could go into the workings of the beast and pick out some random 4 letter word and make it so that it turns into fuck every time it appears on the forum. Sorta like a reverse swear censor.

I think i remember how to ban people both user name and IP addy.

He wasnt refering to payment for advice, thats allways free here. He was refering to an offer of fair payment for good sought.
People think that they can ger a Piazza part for the same price it would cost to get a gemini one. Say like a light or a dash or a something similar to that.

People do join up, come on here ask to buy shit and never even come back and check replies. Or get the bit and you never see them again.

Cheers, Bob.
