Something else came up....

Post by speedracerles »

So I was driving My car today and the brake light keeps coming on and

off every time I accelerate and slow down, I thought it might be from

the e-brake being slightly up but it was all the way down... I was so lost .

I dont know what to do has anyone had any problems like this before?

are you sure it is the e-brake light and not the brake system light. our models have two lights, one with the brake shoe style symbol that comes on when the parking brake or E-brake as you call it is on. There is another red warning light with a letter "P" in the centre and it comes on if you have one or more of your brake lamps inoperative every time you press the brake pedal. If it is the "P" light you probably have a lamp not working somewhere. if it is the E-Brake light the problem is almost sure to be at the switch on the lever . slide off the hatch and fuel knobs and lift off the plastic cover and remove the dime that is rolling about in there jamming the switch from time to time. WELL IT MIGHT BE!!!

My brakes work when they wont to LOL.... I have to pump them a few time to get them to work. I just thought it might be me needing to get new brake lines and stuff like that. I dont know. all I know is when I do drive my car I have to stop alot sooner then every one else does... I just down shift alot also. So what do you think I should do then? hit me with the word...LOL
