I sometimes wonder, here are some interesting figures
We have 256 members (so called)
124 of them have never posted anything, not even an introduction.

Of the 50 latest "members" 31 are part of the zero posters above

22 members have only ever done one post.

Another 60 have less than 10 postings

That leaves us with around 50 members with 10 or more posts over the last few years and some of those are not much over 10.

What does it mean? It means lots of people sign up because they are nosy or are looking to get something rather than to be part of our group or contribute. If we had a joining fee of even $1 it would probably keep the time wasters away.

Of the group of 50 top contributers there are probably only half a dozen regulars.

I don't mean to offend any recent joiners who are in their early days of contributing or those in far flung parts of the universe like our American and European members as it is hard to be part of the scene when you are so remote from it. They add a cosmopolitan touch and a different perspective and for that we should be grateful.

It is still essentially an Australian forum so it is a little disappointing there isn't more input from the wider member base over there. Poor old Bob is still up there as the postwhore but he shouldn't have to do it all on his own.

No reflection on Chris, Roy is doing a good job freshening things up and keeping a grip on the reins and that is bloody well done.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want to make it so exclusive that any new or aspiring Piazza owner finds it difficult to join but we should clear out the
wankers and accept that we are a very small and MAINLY dedicated bunch.

There, you shouldn't have asked should you?

And verily the gods looked down on you and said " young man you tread a dangerous and slippery path"

Anyway, you do have a Piazza, its just that you leave it parked at my place.
