Post by bondarulya »

Hello! Who know, may I change my 4zc1-s cylinder head to 4zd1 head on my 4zc1-t engine ? What differents between 4zc1 head and 4zd1 head ? I know that camshafts of it engines are similar.

I'm pretty sure they're "the same".

Except I'm sure they're not exactly the same. The D1 head may have a little drive pin on the inlet side that needs to be sealed off. The dizzy and backing plate may possibly be marginally different... Obviously you'll want to keep the Piazza dizzy, so I'd say you'll need the matching 4ZC1 backing plate to stay with the dizzy.

^ I second everything he said. The heads are the same casting, but compare it to your stock head and swap over everything from it. Trying to figure out the pin mentioned above, but otherwise it should work no problem.
