Sunroof Weatherstrip/Seal

Post by ImpulseRocket89 »

Mine, in gentle terms, is toast. I really don't like sunroofs to begin with, but if I could get the seals replaced I may stick with it. I know I would relocate the drain away from the rockers (biggest cause of rust in that area) if I kept it.

The problem is, I know that no replacement exists. Has anybody found a good viable replacement option for it?

Otherwise, I am going to find another impulse in the scrap yard if one is close enough, and go cut out a big section of it's roof panel. And then cut out my sunroof, and permanently plug it. If I can't find a roof panel from an Impulse, I will locate a vehicle with a similar roof curve/profile and spend the time to make it work. I know the Honda Accord and a couple of other 80's cars have roofs that are close/similar in shape.
