Joe and I have been a bit quiet of late finalising "In Search of the Holden Piazza" but we can tell you that it will be in all good book stores (and the crappy ones) from Thursday 26 October 2006.
I want two copies (so I can read it twice) anybody willing to get me a couple and send them over. If so yell out and let me know how much including postage and we will work out how to get the dough across.
whats with there description
Chris and Joe take to the road, touring the highways and byways on a quest to discover what became of the Holden Piazza, possibly the doggiest car ever made.
i have both copies in my hands and asked at the post office and cost is $12.75 to nz plus a postage bag made of bubble wrap or some sort of a box no more than $5 i wouldn't think.
so let me know which way is easiest for you and i will send them on there way just in time for christmas!!!
That's terrific thanks, I can pay any way you like, could send cash but not that safe or get you a bank draft and post it or pay by paypal. I could even get Poida to pay you in local currency and i can pay him through paypal, I'm sure he wouldn't mind as we have a bit of an arrangement going between us at the moment that seems to work. You call the shots and let me know the total. You can email me direct by using <nzpiazza@hotmail.com> I really appreciate it. I might even cheer for the aussies against the poms.
Got my copy from McGills in Melbourne (ElizSt near BourkeSt) for $24.95; they had at least 5 copies left.
McGills is a bit specialised (like Melbourne's "Technical Book Shop") - I tried to find the book in another nearby big bookshop to no avail.
I've only read to p30, but it's an enjoyable read that should find an audience wider than Piazza and car enthisiasts. (Maybe it'll find an audience with the same car nouse as Chris & Joe - that'll sell a few million!)
Regards from the "someone a bit more committed to the cause" that Nick sold his Piazza to (p9).
