Very useful information probably not just for me but for others too, thanks all - issue resolved as being a faulty switch/some fault with the pod. Swapped the one off my 'spares' car (which will be restored but is slowly being pillaged...). MOT pass!

[SOLVED] HELP! Windshield washer function not working.

Some of you will have seen the progress of my car the past year and half by various means, and shall indeed have some tales to tell here, but the eve of the MOT, I've hit a small but significant problem. The windscreen washer function isn't working. The wipers do work on all speeds etc. But when the...

Thanks for the reply - I've pm'ed you about the proxy bidding thing; I found that site a while ago, and couldn't work out how to use it. I do have a friend in Japan who is happy to have things sent to them, but not sure I can twist their arm into bidding on things for me!

Which are the best places to online shop for stuff from Japan? I've tried before but find the Japanese sites quite hard to use for non-Japan users.

(eyecon, how much did you pay for/are you asking for that, out of interest?)

Looking for a set of the moulded mud flaps flaps as in the 'Formula' kit. No probs shipping from au/nz/usa.

Or any advice achieving similar results with a set from another car modified etc...

Please distract me from painting...so much painting...perhaps with more painting..

How do the HBL lights connect originally though? All I see is a floppy circuit board with the tracks exposed and no socket. On closer inspection, you are right; the connector from the wiring harness clips into the back of the plastic light frame and contacts the circuit board. The original style li...

Centre console frame/slot for analogue clock + compartment

I need the frame/slot that goes in the centre console to hold the analogue clock above(?) the radio on some of the older models. Not having immediate luck with UK supplies - just waiting on the good old IPTOC cellar search; if this doesn't come up with anything I'm happy to pay postage from overseas...

Yes...that's my ethos too; I sometimes like to do different things, but it's nice to be able to switch back easily. Ideally I'll make an adapter with the right ends just to be able to unplug and switch back if so desired.

There seems to be 4 bulb spaces in the older style (reverse light in middle) and 5 on the later ones (as on the HBL cars)...any thoughts on that? Anyone aware of variations in the configuration? Rear fog light a variant maybe? The HBL does have a connector on it -?; its just different...my lights ar...

Switching digital/analogue instrument pod

Has anyone switched an analogue pod with the digital one? Or vice versa?

Just got a digital unit I think quite cheaply and wondered what mods were required. Not sure if I will fit it but I got it anyway because why not. !

Stereo units fitting

also...just wanted some advice on stereos. My car has unfortunately has its original fitment removed, and in the middle it has a modern cheap stereo and a digital clock, nothing much else. and I'm on the lookout for something 'period'. I mentioned in my introductory thread about the ideal being a 't...
