How about this one:

It looks to be an updated version of the original badge. I like the idea if re-creating this badge to give that updated/modern look. Any takers?

Certainly worthwhile thinking about it isn't it vinnie55. Maybe there are still some pristine autos here in Oz.

Good to see I wasn't the only fanatic out there. Would you mind sending a closeup photo of your badge, and include the size of the badge. When I made mine I had to work off a slightly dodgy image, and I had to guess what the size of the original badge was. BTW where did you place your badges? I gave...

Thanks for the heads up re the conversion. Yeah my height is usually a hindrance to a lot of cars I get into, and the Piazza was no different. but because I loved the car so much I made sure it was going to damn well fit me. I got creative and took the seat-lift mechanism out, which allowed the seat...

I'm all hardened and flexed up now. With my 195cm and 120kg frame that shouldn't be hard to do. Besides I ran out of kleenex tissues. :binky:

Seriously, you make it sound so easy. Maybe I should keep an eye out for pristine slushbox versions.

Yeah I agree. I would rather buy a pristine version and convert that. Oh yes manual too.

"styled by Giugiaro" badge

http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/285/nameplate2.jpg The image above is off the early Lotus Esprit, which have special little metal badges on the front fenders. I tried finding other or better images but this will do for now. If anyone else is aware of these same badges appearing on other cars/mod...

My thoughts exactly. The Borbets look better than the Momos too.

Thanks. Hmmm, same car but different wheels, headlights, and grill. I like the version in your first picture better.

Yep. Size selection comes down to your current engine specifications, or what you plan on upgrading or planning on in the future. 3" might be an overkill if you have a standard engine/turbo configuration. Otherwise 2.5" system should do fine if you're not that interested in the 'wow' factor.

You're right about doing calcs but I entrusted that to the exhaust guy. I eventually came to realize later on that he wasn't big on maths but was big on creating BIG exhausts on anything turbo that rolled into his workshop. No maths here. But he did one he'll of a job in Canberra. Superb work. I'll ...

I had 3" mandrel bent all the way through. But that was just me wanting to be different. When it came to bragging rights no one could compete. It wasn't loud either due to the turbo and there was droning that you might get with some systems. Cost me about $650 back around 14years ago. I'd do it...
