So what other posts, forums and info do you have?
What is wrong with their suggestions?

Or - what performance are you after? Torque? Horsepower?
Or how many heads to spend? Or $ if you prefer?

Try to make it easier for us to answer.

Only kewl dudes drive kewl cars.
But if ya wanna win, we too think that's kewl.
But only the coolest win.

4ZE1 Twin Turbo :D

Building one of those engines at work currently, will be running a single TD0620G, full LPG Gas research setup, electronically programmable ignition maps, ground up rebuild with brand new head being ported, stronger valves custom grind cam and racing valve springs.

Should be a pretty tough engine once its done, even as standard they are fairly impressive, huge amount of low end torque, compression is fairly low on them which makes them well suited for turbo applications.

I reckon a couple of smaller turbos on a 4ZE1 would be a good little machine, not lacking torque so they will boost fairly easily, not to mention the size of the engine, sharing 2 cylinders per turbo there's 1.3 litres capacity.

The T-bird turbo has a different bolt pattern than the IHI.

http://www.well.com/~mosk/AdapterDimensions.html

but the dimensions for the IHI holes (countersunk) are off.

My manifolds measure 2 1/4 not 2 3/4.

My T-birds dimensions match perfectly.

Also if you use the entire t-bird unit you need to re-clock the exhaust housing to keep the oil drain pointing down.

BUT you can take the intake housing and wheel from an '87-'88 turbo and bolt it directly onto the IHI unit. you CANNOT do this with an '86 or older B/C they use a garret turbo for those years.

Don't have any ideas for the suspension.

Stick to the Marque!
Isuzu 4200R V8, or the Hummer turbo diesel (7.6L?).
