Who has owned there Piazza the Longest ?

Post by Bartamann »

I have had my Piazza for over 12 years but it once sat in the back of my mother-in-laws house in the weather for 4 years without being moved or started as I had to buy a wagon to courier my little pests around. I did the precautionary measures (sprayed the cyclinders and put metho in the tank) and with a brand new battery it started like it had stopped the day before. It's been resprayed and had a service and is running like new. Has anyone owned theres since new ? And not had anything done to engine (meaning rebuild, pistons etc) I find it a bit de-meaning that they call this a lemon when in only 4 years of owning a Magna I made over 20 calls for the RACV and only 1 in the Piazza when it spat a spark plug out over 11 years ago.

Unfortunately the Piazza earnt the "lemon" moniker because of its failure to deliver all promises. It wasnt the sports car GMH promised it to be nor the sports car its looks suggested it was. Mechanically they are like all Isuzus, even the stinking little RB Gemini - Bulletproof.

There were some electrical glitches, but it was the 80's - what did you expect?

Ive probably had mine the shortest, bought it a month and a half ago. Post up some pics of yours.

I imported mine from Japan back in 1991. It has had no major mechanical work done and has been 100% reliable. But then again, it had done 69,000kms in '91 and is now only 99,000kms, so that is 30,000kms in 14 years.

Is that meant to say something about its reliability???? lol. Or is it just that you have another car thats better.
