Are their Piazza's which dont dribble abit of oil here and their.. Tell me!
lol.. Seals Seals all I can say.. Do not buy those shitty seals from Repco and others. Go to a seal place and it will cost around $30-50 for a new (maybe even custome) made one but it is well worth it.

I think that Piazza is KilCoys, Matt posted in the Aus Events section. Ran a 16.2 standard and 15.7 on 9psi from memory.
Common problem with the 4ZC1 is to spit the sump gasket out. The oil breathing setup is restrictive, and that air pressures got to go somewhere. If your rings are good, its usually the dipstick or the sump gasket. A mate went through 4 in 2months. Ouch.

By my experience, those cheapo seals tend to be black and quite softer than the better once. Also the cheapos have a spring around the ring while the good once dont.

The ACL ones I got were pink coloured like the original Holden ones are and have a double lip. Most of the leaking problems can come down to the groove in the shaft from old seals. Some times a different seal will sit in a new place on the shaft but not with rear crank seals. If the shaft is badly grooved you can fit a speedi sleeve, they are not too expensive and do a good job, available from bearing suppliers.
Viton are the best for temperature if you can get one the right size. I use Viton lip seals in high temp Roots blowers with excellent results over Nitrile. As I said before all is wasted if the shaft journal has a wear groove so if the shaft is out get it sleeved or ceramic sprayed, ceramic is quite cheap and no seal will cut a groove in that!
Yep thats "kilcoy piazza" he was out there again at the jamboree. Not sure what he ran. I will find out and post unless he is back on here before me.
