Here are some pics. I still want to get some new wheels, a tiny bit of rust cut out, tinted windows and a complete interior re-fit. The interior is mint at the moment, but I'm a sucker for black leather. Hope you like :-)

Hey mate, welcome to the club. Your cars pretty familiar around here, weve already posted pics of it
Original owner was a mate of my mate, so thought youd might like to see your car before you owned it.

Oh My GOD!!! I can't believe it!
Definately my car. So here's the story. The guy in the second picture (Troy) Is one of my best mates and he bought it off the original owner (the son you mentioned that had all the work done) not long after it was rebuilt. Problem was, when the car was rebuilt it didn't have the timing belt put on properly (something to do with a linkage thing?) and all hell broke loose one day. Hence the car needed rebuilding again. So, a friend of mine said he'd rebuilt heaps of cars before and wanted to give it a go. Troy said OK and we left him to it. He fucked it. So off to be rebuilt AGAIN! This time Troy went to some mob (can't remember who) out in Laverton and they did a fantastic job. He also had the head ported and polished by Westpoint cylinder Heads. So then he got bored with it and sold it to me. Now I've had the joy of fixing the other various bits and pieces that have gone wrong with it (exhaust, ball joints, steering rack alternator, starter motor, etc) and am needing to get the gearbox rebuilt pretty bloody quickly - anyone got one?
As for the rust Bob, the rear spoiler has come off halfway on the RHS and rust is forming underneath. I'll be getting it cut out asap. There's also a few spots (only a few mm in diameter) on the roof.
The wheels in the original photo are also on their way out. The heat from the brakes has peeled the chrome off so it's time for some new ones. All in all, it's a beautiful car and doesn't need all that much more work to get to 100%.

I get all my stuff done by Dean & his boys at Westpoint. Bit expensive but you can never fault the work.
That hatch rust is a std Piazza thing. All of mine have it.
I dont rekon the flash bling chome wheels thing suits a Piazza.
What wheels have you got your eye on????
If your wanting to sell your rims you could have a go on the Ozgemini forum if no one here wants them. http://www.ozgemini.com/
