Parting Out 86 impulse non-turbo

Post by jakeklem »

I am parting out my 86 impulse. Here is a website with some pics on it:
http://wantinator.com/Isuzu/

I also have a thread on isuzone.org here
http://www.isuzone.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9903

I would prefer if you post on isuzone.org or email me if you are interested in anything or have any questions.
Thanks,
Jake

Yes it was bought brand new in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has stayed here ever since. The rust is the only reason the car isnt street legal. Rust = Car Cancer :(

I plan on keeping the drivetrain so it might be a project to consider :yawinkle:

Someone already has dibs on the grill. Did you just want the front lights or the mounting shells? Someone already has dibs on just the shells. The rest is yours, i'll get back with prices asap or make me an offer because i really dont know.

Also, Ill try to get pictures of all the parts everyone is interested in just to make sure its what you want. If you want me to send pics, could you please post your email address with the parts you want?
Thanks guys,
Jake

Chris you need the mounting shells (both ones that attach to the body and ones that hold each head light unit), with the springs and adjusting screws that's all. Since US lights are illegal in Australia because of the difference between LHD and RHD headlights it'd be a waste of money paying postage on em. You can just use the lights off a shitload of 80s Toyotas, Mitsubishis, and Datsuns.
The grille is different to standard ones the bottom bar goes the whole width of the car so you need that as well.. Dunno how you'd post it because it's huge.

Tail lights are the same as Aus spec lights up until 1988 when they switched to the smooth ones.

Front blinkers don't include parkers which makes them illegal here. Side blinkers are the same as TX-TE Gemini ones.

False, you can use the the 86 impulse lights however you can melt/cut abit off the holding and reposition it than use an soldir oin to melt the plastic part to the globe holdings so it stays fixed, quite easy to do but yeah I would need the case and springs for it. I've been looking at the wreckers t those twin lights from the early isuzu truck might not be much of a job either to get them working.

It's not the position of the globes but the actual lense that is different..
