MT was fuel only, LT was fuel/ign right? Id like to see someone wire up a Delco 808 or MegaSquirt upto the 4ZC1. Throw on a Rodeo EFI manifold, bigger injectors, 4ZE1 Dizzy....ill shutup now.

You might as well chuck a webber carby on instead. It's about on par with a 1970's spec EFI system with points ignition.. They don't even have closed loop mode! Trying setting the timing is hard with it varying by 5 degrees each time around. The crap throttle response it isn't too good for drivability. Then after all that it uses way more fuel than a standard computer.

I'd rather solid mechanical timing advance with knock control than electronic advance with no knock control that has less accuracy than points ignition. 70's spec comes from EFI with no closed loop.. Ok maybe 80's spec before they started using unleaded.
They have their place though.. On drag rotaries that only have to run for 10 seconds at a time, and at full throttle the whole time.
Anyway I guess one good thing is because it's old school it supports switch TPS. So you don't have to adapt another one on.

Nick-

haha, "pizza" on the ozgemini.com forums has a 4ZC1-t with a t3/4 turbo and rodeo inlet with custom plenum, front mount and wired up to megasquirt with e1 dizzy...

My car stopped leaking oil, does that mean I'm out?
