hey guy's

does anybody know where to find the engine numbers on the 4ZC1 engine??.

i removed the engine fron the spare car i had and i cant seem to see the number anywhere, as it was only a parts car i never revs checked it but i might have a use for it now so i want to check it out but cant find the numbers.

Under where it says "4ZC1" on the exhaust side, behind the water pipe.

I thought it was on the top of the block under the thermostat housing for the 1.8-2.3L.
On the 2.6L its on the web that goes out to the bellhousing bolt/s on the LHS of the block, under that tube bugle mentioned. Maybe the Piazza is the same as the 2.6L.

oops yeah I assumed it was the number behind the pipe however that's cast into the block and I did think it was strange that an engine number would be cast in.

It's a 6 digit number faintly stamped in on the gearbox mounting bit.


Some other number (batch number or some shit?)

Perhaps is a power steering thing. With that crap in the way the other spot is a bitch to get the number from.
