I also got the shift fork and a slave cylinder.

the bell is suprisingly light weight, i thought it was plastic when i first pulled it out of the box!

not sure wtf that other hole is for on the mounting face...

Where did you get it from? How much bigger is the T5 box compared to the 4Z?

bags the next one you find!
Should be able to ship them here for fark all if they're that light.

You can bolt a T56 up to it can't you? They'd be pretty strong..

you're correct, I was so excited to get the bell i didn't bother to unwrap the slave to inspect. or use logical thought.

that's the plan. I need to get the 'retro-fit' Tremec box with the T5 adapter plate.
They'd be pretty strong..
stock rating is 400lb-ft, the GM/Viper hybrids are rated to 650.

I got lucky and scored this for super cheap, without finding one local it will generally cost $50 and up to get one. as mentioned in another thread i have no problems shipping stuff out down yonder.

Uhuh distracted by the big shiny thing and ignored the grimy peice :finga: .

Maybe you NZ/OZ guys could work out a decent deal with these guys.

They would probably have them and some v6 bells as well if you wanted to try and shoehorn a v6 in your Piazzas.

I will talk to them.

Theres only one problem.

Which T5 box does the bellhousing suit.

Theres two different bellhousing to box mounting patterns and 7 different input shaft lengths. Thats not to mention the different input splines. Well thats what we got here.

http://www.dellowauto.com.au/main.html
Get the 'product' PDF file up and theres a chart on page 12 of 35 that tells you whats what as far as T5 boxes go.

Ive got a T5 here, its out of our Australian 'Falcon' Thats a 4L 6cyl sedan. Its a bit of an odd duck out. I was going to use an old dead Gemini/Rodeo/luv box and mill up my own bellhousing.

I also have a T5 bellhousing here out of a Comaro, the one that puts the box on an 18deg tilt. Might be handy one day. lol.

well my pic shows the pattern.

I found this other pic and aparently it's same as the Ford box:
Image

24 spline input shaft, uses same clutch kit as the other 2.6 apps but also uses a pilot bushing.
ID of the bush is .668" and .472" deep

input shaft length is 181.3mm acording to this graphic:

i don't see why not, it's just a thick plate with holes drilled in it - at least one of the vendors offers to drill other patterns for a small fee. the Ford retro fit box comes with a new bell so they don't use the plate, but holes are holes. it's common known pattern and shouldn't be a problem.

one thing I'm not sure of now is the slave. it looks like the stock spot might interfere with the body of the trans.

You could use an internal slave cylinder.

Its circular and goes over the input shaft. You need to space it up the right distance off the bearing snout on the box, bit of mucking about to get right but it can be done.

I think they were used on Saab's. They are a euro thing anyway.
