Id say that youd want to have some serious shockers in the front end to warrant it.Impulsive Yank wrote:i'd think if you triangulate the brace & attach to the firewall it would be of benefit. no doubt the front flexes with suspension movement, anything would be better than stock.
Theres a possibility that extra bracing might help to strengthen the front end in general, but if it was just off the shock towers all it would do would be to stress them out more.

This really is a waste of time in all honesty. The entire suspension system is contained on the crossmember apart from the top shock mounts, front links and sway bar. The only movement they have is up and down as the wishbones do their thing. The shocks neither gain nor offer any lateral support to the suspension setup. They only absorb vertical loads so it follows that bracing the top of them is not a useful modification.
Bugle is right, unless the top of the shocks are rigidly mounted everything moves about on the bushes, if you have a handling problem replace the shocks with some billies and custom springs. Its a better way to spend your money.

Yeah Bob look under the front of mine and you will find another pair but you can't have them because they are MINE all mine
I don't think Bilstein actually have an official listing for Piazza/Impulse. You need to find someone that has a cross reference from KYB to get the equivelant I guess.
