What back spacing do you have?

I dropped myn 3" and I have 16" wheels on it.

Still heaps of space to put 17" rims on it.

I am looking at 17"
what brand and what is the back spacing the factory ones are #24 but a mate has #32 and they sit in at bit but don't rub. What springs and shock do you have?

I have 16x7 with 42mm offset and they rub on the front even with spacers.. Also look stupid sitting in so far..
You should probably get about 20mm. Going back to stockers.

Ive got 16x7.5 on mine and they fit quite nice. The car is lowered 2 inches at the front and 1.5 at the rear. They only rub a little on the outer guard on the front but if you choose the right tire it wont. I reckon the older 80's cars look better with a bit of meat on the rim which is why I didnt go the 17inch low profile tire look. There is a picture in the showroom with more info on the wheels and tires.

Im with you Rodavo on the rubber.

Ive got 15x7 on mine. well they arent on it ive got em for it. Ive got 195/50 on the front. Got the tyres cheap. aint got tyres for the rear yet, one of the rear rims needs to be fixed, its dented. Ive had em on for pics. It would sit a bit lower than that coz it was straight down off the jack when i took the pic. Note the gutted Gemini in the back ground, i was just getting one back on them. lol.

Thats with the 205's on the front and the 215's on the back. I thought the 195's would be the go on the front, with the 205's there was less than 5mm clearance to the shock. Im tossing up if i should go 60 series on the rear. Or my other thought was to buy a better pair for the front than the pirelli P6000's i got and run them on the rear. I was looking at some Dunlop 702's i think they were but a near on $200 a pop i think i will make do with what i got.

I had some rims here with 195/65 rubber on them and the tyres rubbed the bumper at the front. Has anyone had 60 series 15" rubber on the front of theirs???

The dodgy Arab used tyre guy up the road rekons hes getting a container in from OS and will have some 215's in the 50 series.

Cheers. Bob.

the only thing that the p6000 r good for is that they cause a lot of smoke :tonqe: ..if u want good pirrellis go for p6 or even better pzeros! but u cant go wrong wit a michelin.. there a soft compound rubber prob wont last long but will grip very well in the wet n dry.. or someting bit cheaper like a the the top of the range dunlop sp 9000's there not too bad either..

Wheel size

Post by Piazzish »

I am mabye going to buy new rims for my car. How is it with Offset/ET? I'm not really into that yet...
The rims I'm looking at: 17x7" ET22 . Will this work fine on the piazza? I know the stock alloys are ET24, but will it work with ET/offset 22 ?

Thanks!
