Could this be coming soon? Could Isuzu be resurrecting the dead?
Check it out. Anyone seen this before?
New Isuzu Piazza?

That is a Skoda concept, http://www.netcarshow.com/skoda/2011-design_concept/
I doubt they will ever make a performance RWD car again though, but who knows, never is a LONG time..
But if VW did buy a stake they would have Giorgetto Giugiaro's resources to use since VW bought out his company.

The word was Isuzu would resurrect 2 oldies.
One was tipped to be the Bellett GT Type-R for sure, but the other was debatable.
Some though the 4200R, but that never made production. Same for the MX-1600.
I'd argue the Florian continued (as Aska through to SAAB).
Hence maybe the 117 or the Piazza.
I like the thought of a Piazza re-release as it is a real fingers-up to GM. Plus it might draw attention to how advanced Isuzu was at that stage (looking more at the 1980 digi-dash twincam with its revolutionary door catches and other things we now take for granted).
