Hood Lift Supports/Struts
I am having zero luck finding any sort of listing for these on a 1988-89 application. I am finding quite a few for 83-87 though. Is there really a difference between the two? They look about the same from what I can see..

That's what I thought too. Should be zero difference because when I changed hoods the original struts were retained and work fine. Also you should be able to re gas them if the lack of support is your problem. For example I had the tailgate struts re gassed to a higher pressure to accommodate the rear spoiler weight. I think it cost about $60 and it took about 15min to do.

One is missing and the other is damaged, so I need both. I found a pair that comes with all of the hardware as well, so that is also a plus since the ball/bolt that it connects with on the chassis side is also missing on the passenger side. Thanks for the confirmation.
