Piazza Injectors

Post by WA Piazza »

Im looking for 4 new piazza injectors or upgraded once that fit the 86 XE EFi Turbo Piazza. If you could send me an email or even a post to this it would be good because i have no clue in what the part numbers is for the injectors and ive even asked an injection man and he didnt even know.

So i need help quickly as i have a week to fix before i have to take back over pits.

Thanks

They are hose tail type i can tell you that much. Im not sure if they are exactly the same but the VL turbo ran hose tails.

Im waiting to get my hands on a Piazza manifold, im swapping it for a Rodeo one to use for straight gas. Ive got a Rodeo fuel rail here, the rodeo uses orings at both ends, im going to have a look and see how hard it would be to put the Rodeo fuel rail on the Piazza manifold. That will free up injecto choice heaps.

At high fuel pressure the hose tail type injector are prone to leakage.

Why are you after the standard injectors, whats wrong with the ones your car currently has? Had them checked/cleaned? If they are still fucked after all that let me know, ill ask a mate if he has a spare set.

yeh nick
im basically just trying to find standard once or even upgraded once but i need to no what the upgrade part number is. I have had an injector specialist come and look at them and he said i need to find new once cos No.4 Injector is gone. and if that once gone then the other 3 aint to far behind so im looking for 4 new or a good set of injectors.

If i cant get injectors then i wont be able to lisence it cos right now its running on 3 injectors and the idol is on 750rpm instead of 1500rpm.

So yeh i need big help.
Cheers

Im going to assume a few things here, correct me if im wrong.

-You need the standard injectors or a set that will run on the standard ECU to get rego

-You plan on upgrading them later anyway as they arent good for the power you will be pushing.

Correct or not? Ill assume it is...in that case, get the remaining three that work cleaned out and pressure tested, then source a fourth one second hand and throw that into the standard rail. This should see the thing running again and should get you passing the pits or whatever you have up there.

Then, when you start doing the intended work to it, junk the complete rail. These injectors arent really any good - a mate hit 100% duty cycle using a T03 on 5psi [!]. Get a new rail made up, fit a set of injectors say around 350-400cc and wire up an aftermarket ecu. You will need to do all this anyway to push the power your after.

If you cant find some standard injectors let me know ill ask a mate if he still has his.

probably no help to you in the short term but there are plenty new and remanufactured ones on ebay. The reman ones are quite cheap but postage will kill you, especially of you DHL them over. Surely one of the guys over there could lend you something in the meantime.

yeh guys
All of perth are a bunch of retards that dont no old cars i say this in disregaurd via no one at all including injector professionals knowing what part number the stock injectors are so i am writing to ask the cost of reconing the injectors.

It would be better i think to do so and i think it will save time and get the car over the pits quicker.

Thanks for all ya trys

heh, well you can always try to call holden, it will take a few hundred calls to get to someone who knows what a piazza is but I am sure that person can tell you the part number. Also you can have a look in the XE Workshop manual as it should have the PN in thei, but than again I am not to sure as I never had a look at the OZ XE manual..

USA is an option but you still have Japan where English has a new meaning all together but they have parts, hell farking yeah they even have Piazza Wreckers, Ive seen the evidence.

I think I put up a link to importing parts in the forsale section with contact details, but I am to lazy to look.

Id go to the wreckers and have a look under the hood of a VL commodore. I doubt that there would be much difference in the flow.
Or better still some stock VL turbo ones. Plenty of guys ripping them off to upgrade. Get em tested and put the best 4 in.

Holden will be able to tell you the part number, weather their part number means anything to any one is another story. You need to find out what brand they are (Id say bosch) and talk to someone who knows their bosch shit.

Cheers. Bob.
