SOLD: Isuzu 117 XT Coupe on eBay (G200Z, auto, red, 1979)

From ebay-au-item 120740963573 26June2011, starting at $3,500.

Not too far from me, and for ~$3,500 I'd buy it - but it's a G200Z (not G200W) and an auto. Rats!
Maybe I'll buy it for its wing mirrors to replace the GT Bellett mirrors on my Red Florian and junk the rest....

Heh, yeah, I've seen that one. I've been tempted, I think I need a 117 (and a Florian, and a Bellett) for my Isuzu collection, but to me, the 117 is, amongst other things, at least one of three vital points:

- One of the first Japanese mass-produced cars to be EFI
- One of the first mass-produced sports cars to be diesel
- One of the first mass-produced twincam engines in Japan

And to buy a 117 that's none of the above, and furthermore is auto, and runs the same engine as an Aussie-delivered ute, well... I'd sort of feel like I'd bought a giant anticlimax. A beautiful, unique, evolutionary anticlimax, but, nevertheless...

Pete, I don't suppose you have any pics online of your Florian? You know how much I love those things, and I reckon I could count the pictures I've seen of them on one hand - although Antus' friend/cousin/brother/whatever has a white one that I've perved on a few times!
