Thats probably the charcoal canister. Its fuel tank vapour retun into the motor. Well maybe, could be something else.

Is the wastegate actuator arm attached to the wastegate flap?

Nah Bob I think he means the canister underneath the airbox under the inner guard. Says "Tank asm cruise" on it so i suppose it has something to do with cruise control, maybe a vacuum reserviour since the actuator is vacuum operated

Id say your right. You spend more time under the hood of a Piazza than i do.

Come to think of it ive got no idea where the charcoal canister is on a Piazza. On my Rodeo its next to the air pump, where the turbo is on a Piazza.

On the Piazza its mounted to the pass side shock tower - unmissable, especially with that springy clamp bullshit on the body meaning you can yank the thing around abit.

If turbo spind\s freely on the turbine side better make sure you still have a compressor wheel attached at the other end, wouldn't be the first broken shaft i've seen. failing that check you still have a wastegate flap left coz if that breaks off you won't boost much.

The bad rattle in the exhaust is usually a good give away that the shaft is broken.

That or bits of the exhaust wheel from the turbo are kicking back in the dump pipe/cat/exhaust.
