What should i do with this??? And this and this.
there is a guy here in nz that has a 3.8 v6 in one he uses it as a club racecar. sources tell us he has done some pretty serious mods to the front suspension setup.
NZ wing of the piazza club is having a tough time tracking this lad down. When we do will find out how he has managed to do it.

Sideways by choice!!!!!
I think from what we can gather thats pretty much what he has done.
the boys over in the US put the Buick v6 motor into their chevette variant (cant remember off my top of my head what it's called) chev chevelle i think.
same basis being a t-car chassis
They are putting the old carb versions in but same basic dimensions.
i did see a few years ago a lad had a site and gave a blow by blow account of how he did it.
I will have a search and see if i can find it.

I know exactly where this guy lives but is 50 miles behind the black stump and nobody goes there. I did have a yarn to his mechanic a year or so ago but the talk was more about the donkey than the suspension but I understand he did alter it although he retained the original cross member from memory.NZ wing of the piazza club is having a tough time tracking this lad down
there is a 3.5km hillclimb in Cambridge Sunday (tomorrow) and I'm positive he will be there but i can't get there so stiff shit this time. Must try and get to the next one as that is what he seems to specialise in.
So many cars, so little cash
oooh a Piazza that goes around corners.
Im not sure what im up to yet. Still doing research into what bits i can use.
Im leaning towards HQ-WB stubaxles with custom bottom balljoint holders. Just means to us the VT commodore brakes ive got to plug and redrill the calipers.
And run two different stud patterns, with ford on the back. Probably could get the axles redrilled. But i like the idea of XE-XF ventilated rears.
Oh well i suppose it wont matter, not like its going to be a road car.
Bob.

Yeah falcons are double wish bone, well the early ones are but ive got a feeling that they are too tall. Or there was something stupid about them. The steering arm is fixed and could even be trailing which will be no good. Its been a long time since i looked long and hard at a ford.
I can look into it. One of my mates picked up his XP ute over the weekend, i will get him to have a look.

Im goinf to give it a go. If for the simple reason that the VT brakes will bolt straight on the stub/hub as and all i need is $55 concentric shim. Which i could even make myself once im lathed up. (its supposed to be on its way)
As for the top part of the stub, well who knows. Depending on how its made i can have heaps of camber adjustment in the stub itself. How straight it is to parrallel will decide the castor.
There could be issues with ackerman etc.
Will just have to play around.
