Maintenance
Service Intervals:
A Routine service should be carried out every 10,000kms or 6 months whichever comes first.
Routine service includes Oil, Oil filter, Fuel filter, Air filter and Spark Plugs (see below for part numbers).
Check for any oil leaks from the sump bolt or around the sump gasket and rocker cover every service.
Brake and Clutch Fluid should be topped up when required and changed every 20,000kms. DOT-3 Hydraulic Brake Fluid must be used for replacing Brake Fluid and Hydraulic Clutch Fluid.
Transmission oil should be changed every 20,000kms for manual transmission. For Automatic Transmissions a full service from a mechanic is advised in 50,000kms intervals.
Dexron II fluid must be used for Automatic Transmission fluid replacement and topups and fluid levels should be checked every routine service.
Dexron automatic transmission fluid should be used for Power steering fluid replacement and topups.
Front wheel bearings should be regreased using Wheel bearing grease or NLGI No.2 Multipurpose grease.
